Company History

different workers that benefit from the protection of VESTEX

Inspired by health care workers’ continuous exposure to hospital-related pathogens, bodily fluids, and other harmful substances, Ben Favret III set out on a mission to develop protection for these brave frontline workers who put themselves in harm’s way daily for the sake of patient safety. In 2009, with an extensive background in the healthcare industry and experience with multiple start-up and product launch endeavors, Ben proceeded, with his team of engineers and specialists, to develop, produce and manufacture the first antimicrobial textile of its kind. VESTEX® was born.

VESTEX® is a unique combination of technologies designed to address the need for continuous-wear, comfortable garments that help protect health care workers and others who experience unanticipated exposure to contaminants, pathogens, viruses and other liquids that exist in working environments. With an ongoing commitment to innovation, science, testing and data, VESTEX® has emerged as the ONLY textile technology registered with the US Food & Drug Administration as a medical device with its own classification and 510(k) clearance for safety and effectiveness.

With initial release in the healthcare sector, VESTEX®-protected products have proven in multiple clinical trials to reduce up to 99.9% of MRSA and other pathogens in under 15 minutes. VESTEX®’s performance has resulted in its expansion for use in other industries and for consumer use in a world where protection from harmful bacteria, viruses and pathogens is more important than ever.
